I recently published a post on toys and games that build visual processing skills. After reading the post, one of my readers asked for ideas to develop auditory processing skills. Games like Simon Says, Duck Duck Goose, and Red Light Green Light are always great for targeting auditory processing skills, but I decided to also look at what toys target those skills. After extensive research online and at the toy store (it’s hard work, I know!), here are the toys I found to be the best for building those auditory processing skills:
- Wild Planet Mickey’s Mouse-ke-TAG (ages 3+)
- Wild Planet Animal Scramble (ages 3+)
- Toy Story 3 Woody’s Run Around Round Up Game (ages 3+)
- Wild Planet 1-2-3 Stomp (ages 3+)
- Diggity Dog (ages 3+)
- Cranium Hullabaloo (ages 4+)
- Red Rover Game (ages 5+)
- Wobble Deck (ages 5+)
- Wild Planet Hyper Blast (ages 6+)
- Wild Planet Hyper Jump (ages 6+)
- Twister (ages 6+)
- Hyper Dash Extreme (ages 6+)
- Bop It Bounce (ages 6+)
- Wild Planet Hyper Dash (ages 7+)
- Bop It (ages 8+)
All of these toys would also make great additions to your holiday gift list! Do you know of any others we can add?
*Some of these are affiliate links, which means a small percentage of your purchase will go toward helping this mama pay the bills
